How to use this list
This list represent my brief read on how these digimon will be trained, please consider for your purpose/setup/teammate before executing training on your own digimon.
Max Speed Variant means that the variant reaches the maximum speed that digimon can reach. This is not going to be the real way players train that digimon.
Anti-speed-tier trained variant means the minimum training required way for relevant digimon to beat a speed tier.
The lower down the list, the less high training stat variant will be listed out. Please keep in mind that the more training you put in to SPD, the weaker the digimon will be in other categories.
All stats calculated as at Lv.50 with at most 150 training stats.
Major Threats and their SPD – Damage
Physical Attacker
Gallantmon CM 190
Beelzemon BM 178
SaberLeomon 163
ShineGreymon 153
Beelzemon BM can be paired with other hp absorption teammates to make it even more terrifying, while Gallantmon CM is a little bit more bulky and is more all-rounded. Both of their attacks are piercing meaning they will always have to think about Memetan Replica before pressing the button. Gallantmon CM is in SPD tier 1 while Beelzemon BM is in SPD tier 2, and they are likely to invest in SPD since they are originally so fast and cannot enjoy the benefit of slow attacker (chain max, buff by teammates). There is no safe SPD point to be sure to overspeed them.
Unlike the other two above, there is nothing special about SaberLeomon. The only thing it can do better is spam, since its signature move only cost 20 SP and does not pierce, meaning it will not be blocked by Memetan Replica. Data is great in Vaccine-abundant environment. Sitting at SPD tier 5, it is very likely that SaberLeomon will need to be trained with SPD. Getting over 189 SPD should be sufficient to surpass SaberLeomon if it hasn’t been over-invested.
Shinegreymon is a sustainable attacker; its signature skill guarantees an ATK increase of 10% while doing damage, furthermore its support skill increase 20% of its ATK when HP is below 50%. This means that ShineGreymon is more terrifying towards the latter stages of the battle. ShineGreymon is also very likely to invest in HP for the sake of its support skill while it has to maintain enough power to abuse its signature skill, meaning it might be slower than usual attackers. SPD has its effect but is not as critical in sustained battle (resource management is the key in those battle). Sitting at 158 SPD, it should be enough to overspeed Shinegreymon with just a few points above 158.
All-foe Physical Attacker
TBU
Dual Wield Attacker
(both ATK and INT)
Susanomon 149
Creepymon 140
Blessed with its support skill, Susanomoncan can attack on both sides after a hefty investment in INT. You will never know if it is pure ATK or a dual wield attacker until it uses moves, but once its moveset and damage is revealed, you can confirm its variant. The INT variant of Susanomon cannot invest heavily on SPD. Due to its 149 SPD sitting at SPD Tier 7 the ATK variant cannot be too quick as well, meaning usually 175 SPD should be enough to overspeed it; however if all of his teammates are light skill users and there is no obvious support on the field, you have to be careful if Susanomon is used with the sole purpose of his support skill.
Creepymon certainly fufilled its design of inducing fear in his enemy by utilizing his support skill, increasing INT by 50% when under 25% HP. His stat is equallly high in both ATK and INT. Being faster than Creepymon may not always be an advantage, since sometimes you would want to act after it to avoid its crazy retaliation by is support skill. Carefully plan how do you deal with Creepymon before battle.
Cleaner
Apocalymon 188
Fixed 444 damage is no slouch. With its amazing 188 SPD sitting at SPD tier 1, it is very hard to deny Apocalymon cleaning up weaker mons or just-revived targets. Since fixed damage has nothing to do with INT, it may still invest into SPD if it doesn’t have heavy healing duties, thus usually there is not much hope in overspeeding Apocalymon. Alternatively, Apocalymon can choose to invest in INT to abuse its support skill by spamming neutrual moves, thus it might be slower than its other variant.
The Nukes
ShineGreymon BM 168
Lucemon SM 158
ShineGreymon BM is the ATK nuke while Lucemon SM is the INT nuke. Both of them have a 200 power all-target damage move, with 50% ATK/INT drop and 90% accuracy. They are the nuke because you cant spam the button; very powerful, but the right timing is needed to use it. Keep in mind that that Status Barrier skill allows the nukes to be used with no drawbacks. Sitting at SPD tier 4, both have respectable speed but certainly surpassable. ShineGreymon BM’s Support Skill increase its and its teammates’ magic damage received by 50%, meaning it doesn’t want to sustain long battles, thus it is likely SPD invested. On the other hand, Lucemon SM’s Support Skill is effectively an 20% damage reduction, meaning it might invest in DEF/Utility while it has to keep its nuke powerful with enough INT, therefore it is not likely to boost SPD heavily. 175 SPD should be enough to overtake Lucemon SM, but if you see the enemy’s team setting being all-out attack, don’t rely on the assumed SPD.
Balanced
Imperialdramon DM 148
The King of balanced – Imperialdramon DM has no weakness. It also provides tankiness for teammates on both DEF and INT. In a sustained game it can be difficult to beat Imperialdramon DM (especially when reviving is involved). Again SPD has its effect but is not as critical in sustained battle and Imperialdramon DM would really like to invest in DEF or INT to abuse its support skill; thus it is unlikely Imperialdramon DM will invest heavily in SPD. With 148 SPD sitting at SPD tier 7, going at 175 SPD should have already allowed a lot of buffer to surpass Imperialdramon DM. Keep in mind that if you invested in SPD too much, you will eventually lose to Imperialdramon DM and his in the long term.
Utilities able to do pressuring damage
Dianamon 183
Seraphimon 135
Dianamon has respectable all-rounded stats except HP, meaning it will usually invest in HP as it is the most efficient investment. Its signature skill also provides great utility in spreading sleep status while being a Data, which creates openings out of nothing. Since its attack is reasonably powerful, it might see some investment in INT as well. There is not much left after HP and INT investment and it should remain close to its 183 SPD, especially when it is already pretty fast without investment in SPD Tier 2. Playing 189 SPD should usually be enough to be faster than Dianamon except those special variants used to regenerate HP by abusing its small hp pool, which is very uncommon.
Albeit being the slowest, Seraphimon is the strongest attacker in this category due to its support skill, while also being a competent healer at the same time. There are not much Data threats in SPD tiers around Seraphimon (partly because it is so slow) except Gankoomon, meaning it should run 139 SPD; the next closest threat shall be Examon which requires 155 SPD to overcome. It should be pretty safe to overspeed Seraphimon by running 141 SPD at tier 9.
Major Threats and their SPD – Utilities
Utilities
Sakuyamon 173
Kuzuhamon 139
Sakuyamon and Kuzuhamon both provides the key utility, buff denial, with their signature move. They represents a huge threat by widening the stat difference between opponents and teammates’ buff. Unlike its mirror, Kuzuhamon’s support skill prevents confusion (the top threat in status) by sacrificing the power to do meaningful damage, where Sakuyamon buffs INT by 15% with its support skill. Since Sakuyamon’s teammates would usually be INT based, it is not required to do damage and thus can invest a lot more on speed as long as the INT investment is good enough for healing. Considering Sakuyamon is reasonably fast being at a very respectable 173 SPD at tier 3, it is quite difficult to judge what speed Sakuyamon would run because it totally depends on how much healing does its teammates need based on their HP stat. Similarly, Kuzuhamon are amongst the few cases where although it is very slow with SPD 139 at tier 9, you do not know exactly how much Speed it will run, since its sole purpose is utility (its healing is weaker than Sakuyamon so its usually not used as healer). The only chance for a slow Kuzuhamon is a tanking set which it runs better than Sakuyamon, but that is pretty uncommon.

Examples for SPD Calculation
1. SPD min/maxing
-Assume I want to max out INT on Lucemon SM but don’t want it to be slower than raw-SPD -ShineGreymon BM
-ShineGreymon BM is at 168 SPD
-Lucemon SM is at 158 SPD
-In order to make Lucemon SM faster than ShineGreymon BM, I need to make Lucemon SM 169
SPD (SPD tier 4)
-Therefore, I need to give Lucemon SM 169-158 =11 points of training in SPD
-Hence, I have 150 – 11 = 139 training points to put in INT
2. Max-speed
-Assume I want to run the fastest possible Sakuyamon to separate opponents on the timeline as much as possible
-Sakuyamon is at 173 SPD
-In order to make Sakuyamon as fast as possible, I need to I need to give Sakuyamon 150 SPD points of training, 5% increase for personality and 3 items for 75 SPD
-Therefore Sakuyamon maxed out at 407 SPD (SPD Tier 0)
3. Counterpick
-Assume I want to run a Beelzemon to counter raw-SPD Sakuyamon by hitting Sakuyamon before it moves on turn 1
-Beelzemon is at 168 SPD
-Sakuyamon is at 173 SPD
-In order to make Beelzemon faster than Sakuyamon, I need to make Beelzemon 174 SPD (SPD Tier 3)
-Therefore, I need to give Beelzemon 174-168 = 6 points of training in SPD
4. Counterpick max-speed
-Assume I want to run a Diaboromon faster than all variants of Apocalymon
-Max SPD Apocalymon is at 372 SPD
-Diaboromon is at 173 SPD
-In order to make Diaboromon faster than Max SPD Apocalymon, I need to make Diaboromon 373 SPD (SPD tier cmobo breaking)
-Therefore, I need to give Diaboromon 373 – 173*1.05 – 50 =141.35 rounded down to 141 points of training in SPD
5. Comboing with teammate
-Assume I run a team of Apocalymon, Arcadiamon Mega and Minervamon and I want them to combo in the same turn.
-I don’t need Apocalymon for combo attack (since combo doest no boost its signature’s damage) so Apocalymon should go last
-Arcadiamon Mega is at 163 SPD
-Minervamon is at 168 SPD
-Apocalymon is at 188 SPD
-In order to make Arcadiamon Mega and Minervamon faster than Apocalymon, I need to make both Arcadiamon Mega and Minervamon at 189 SPD (SPD tier 4)
-Therefore, I need to give Arcadiamon Mega 189-168 = 26 points of training in SPD
-Therefore, I need to give Minervamon 189-163 = 21 points of training in SPD
6. Support Skill multiplier
-Assume I want to run a full ATK invested raw-SPD BlackWarGreymon supported by 2 teamates with Support Skill to boost SPD as much as possible
-BlackWarGreymon is at 140 SPD
-The highest Support Skilll multiplier is +15% (MetalGarurumon or Merukimon)
-Therefore, the SPD for that Black WarGreymon, playing together with 2 MetalGarurumon or Merukimon, is 140 * (1+15%+15%) = 182
